This is your sign to get up and clean your space, do some laundry, and to cook a nourishing meal. A clean space creates a clear mind. It's important to find time for yourself to get life stuff done while also making time to socialize and go out with your besties. In the name of balance, there's a fine line between clean girl aesthetic and feral club rat, so it’s important to find your happy medium. Below are 10 tried and true ways that have helped me get my life together and find my happy medium. Hold yourself to high expectation and shock yourself on what you can accomplish.
Make your bed. Set yourself up for bedtime success.
Meditate. Sometimes life just gets overwhelming and having a clear headspace can help you see life for how it is. Meditation allows me to ground myself to the present moment and reevaluate what's really important in my current life. Pro Tip: light a candle and listen to a guided meditation on YouTube.
Write lists. I write lists to find my priorities, organize what I have to do in a day, and to remember what groceries I need to buy. Psychologically, people love lists because it’s a visual representation of what needs to get done and it’s satisfying to cross things out. Try it out.
Get an agenda/ calendar. Write down assignments, appointments, due dates, and anything important happening in life.
Eat nourishing foods. Treat your body like a temple. Eat whole foods that fuel your body to feel your best.
Exercise. Refuel your mind, body, and soul. Increase your energy and improve your mood. Currently, I’m loving yoga and mat pilates.
Set aside 20 minutes to clean your space. A decluttered = a decluttered mind. By setting aside a set time to tidy up, you're more than likely to stick with it and get it done.
Wake up with the sun and go to sleep with the moon. Reset your circadian rhythm to have the best quality sleep and to wake up energized.
Prioritize a self care day. Refuel your mind, body, and soul. Take time to slow down. Reserve a day for yourself every week to get to know yourself know and recharge. What you say to yourself and how you treat yourself manifests itself into reality. Remember to be kind to yourself and prioritize your health and how you feel. Become grateful for what you have in life and watch your mindset transform.
